At Newsong Church we believe the best way to build community and foster spiritual growth is through LifeGroups. It’s in our LifeGroups that we connect with each other and grow in our relationship with Jesus. Whether you are discussing the Bible together, serving in an outreach group, or sharing in a common interest group, you will be learning to “love God & love others”. Our LifeGroups meet in various locations throughout the week.
Some LifeGroups may be closed or on hiatus on seasonal basis. SPRING SEMESTER GROUPS BEGIN THE WEEK OF APRIL 17, 2017. Tune in here to see the full listing by early April, or go to the Connection Tent before or after the Sunday Worship Experience!
If you have a question about a specific LifeGroup, check out the Connection Tent or send a message to the LifeGroup team here.

How’s Your Soul?
Wednesdays; 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Group Leader: Jacob Tolone
Young Adults (Ages 18 – 25)
It may seem like an odd question, but it’s what pastor and bestselling author Judah Smith chooses to ask his friends, rather than “How are you?” It’s a way to look past the externals and consider what’s going on inside, in that essential part of us that is often overlooked in the struggle to make our way through life.
In the rush of living moment to moment, many of us find ourselves simply surviving, struggling daily with frustration, restlessness, boredom, and ever-fleeting joy. But if would would pause, we’d find that the things that matter most in life, what we are searching for in our busyness – stability, peace, hope, love – are rooted in the health of what Judah calls the “inside you.”
In How’s Your Soul?, Judah explores that “inside you.” Sharing his own, often humorous, mistakes and foibles, he helps us find our way through the emotional roller coasters of life to discover the soul-healing essentials of rest, responsibility, restraint, and relationships, all rooted in what he calls the soul’s only trust home – God Himself.
How’s Your Soul? is an invitation to find lasting emotional satisfaction &  stability by bringing our feelings in alignment with God’s truth, moving beyond simply surviving and learning how to live each day with eternal significance.

Recovery Support Group
Celebrate Recovery is a recovery support group that balances biblical teaching and 12-step philosophy in a balanced program that addresses the hurts and habits of those struggle with drug and alcohol addiction as well as other issues. The program fuses together the 12 steps along with 8 unique recovery principles that focus on how God can help heal people who are broken by addition.
Like most sober support groups, Celebrate Recovery is an anonymous safe place where those in recovery can share their hope, struggles and experiences with others who are struggling with the same issues. This safe and empowering environment allows people to be fully present and candid with themselves and others, and members do not have to worry about others judging them or wanting to “fix” their programs or them as people. Celebrate Recovery is a place where people can share their love of God and what can do for their recovery and their life.
Since this is an anonymous life-group, there is no sign-up sheet. If you are interested, please contact the life-group facilitator.

How would you answer people who question whether Jesus really is the Son of God? Skeptics dismiss Jesus by claiming there is no evidence in the case for Christ. Lee Strobel disagrees, and his own search for truth about Jesus led him from atheism to faith in Christ.
Now you can investigate the truth about Jesus Christ grappling with the fats that guided Strobel from atheism to faith in Christ. Sift through fascinating historical evidence and weigh compelling expert testimony; in the end, you may just see Jesus in a new way – and even, like Strobel, find their lives transformed.
When you spend six weeks looking at the Case for Christ, you will be amazed at the evidence – how much there is, how strong it is, and what is says. Join us in this riveting quest for the trusth about history’s most compelling figure.

Christian Living
Location: Facilitator Home
140 Dekruif Place #4L
Bronx NY 10475
The Pilgrim’s Progress is an allegory, which means that the names of people and places not only describe those people and places, but also stand for something more significant. “Christian,” for instance, is the story’s hero. Yet his name responses every person who follows Christ. The story tells of his pilgrimage – his walk as a aChristian on this earth from his first seeking after salvation from sin, his conversion  by being “born again,” through the many trial s of life, to his death and entrance into heave. The most significant feature in the opening sentences of the book is the author’s observation that Christian walks with a “book in his hand.” That book is the Bible, God’s Word to mankind. Every page of the The Pilgrim’s Progress points us to the higher source of life itself: God and the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in God’s Word.
